Different Applications of Industrial Stabilizers

A stabilizer is an electrical device designed to deliver a constant voltage to the electrical equipment or appliance regardless of the changes in input or incoming supply voltage. Now each & every electrical equipment or appliance is designed to operate under specific voltage to provide the required performance. If the voltage is below or above a particular value, electrical equipment or appliance will malfunction.

The function of the stabilizer is to protect the electrical equipment or appliance from high/ low voltage fluctuations. Industrial stabilizer manufacturers provide different voltage stabilizers to control the fluctuating input voltage before it is passed on to the electric device.

It works on the principle of the transformer, where the input current is connected to the primary circuit and output is received from the secondary circuit. When there is a drop in incoming voltage, it activates the electromagnetic field which adds to a greater number of turns in the secondary circuit, thus giving higher voltage which compensates for the loss in output voltage. The opposite functionality happens in case of a rise in the incoming voltage.

Industrial stabilizers are used in the following application

Beverage Industry: Beverage industry is a continuously developing sector with the maker of sodas, water bottle, caffeinated drinks, and milk items etc.

Rolling Mills: Rolling mills also referred to as reduction mills used for metal forming process where the metal stock is passed through one or more pairs of rolls to reduce the thickness. Smooth functionality in the industry can be ensured only with the uninterrupted power supply.

Cement Plant: Furnace transformer manufactures also provide stabilizers and other such equipment to the cement plants to ensure a smooth process without any breakdown.

Textile industry: Stabilizers are also beneficial for the textile industry as these protect against overloads, short circuit, under-voltage and over-voltage.

CNC Machinery: The CNC machinery requires protection from any voltage or power-related issues which is ensured with transformers or stabilizers.

Medical Equipment: Medical equipment like MRI machines, X-ray machines, Medical imaging machines and many more also rely on stabilizers for proper functionality. If run without voltage stabilizers, these machines can break down within a few months due to power fluctuations causing additional expenses for the hospital.
